The CoDec Rating System
The CoDec Rating System is a simple yet powerful way to review videogames. Reviews are based on final games, which
we either purchase or rented.
(0 - .50): The Worse Game Ever Made or at it's greatest one of the
worse games of our life-time.
(.75 - 4.75): Better then the worse game of all time. But still
the kind of game you'll throw away, even if it was given to you for free.
(5.00 - 7.75): Complete crap, you'll find little enjoyment
here. Only the brave shall apply.
(8.00 - 9.75): Good crap, this type of game ONLY deserve a
rental or if you could purchase it under ten bucks.
(10.00 - 13.75): Average, there's enjoyment in this game.
Just not a lot. But you'll find it.
(14.00 - 17.75): Great, It has flaws, but you'll be having
to much fun to notice or care.
(18.00 - 19.75): Amazing, One that deserves your $50plus dollars.
But there are some flaws keeping it from receiving The CoDec Elite Award.
(20.00 - 23.75): One of the Greatest Games Ever Made. But there's
still something missing.
(24.00 - 25.00): Possibly The Greatest Game Ever Made or at
least one of the greatest games of our life time.
The CoDec Gaming Pages Awards
The CoDec Gold Award: Awarded to games that receive a 14.00 to 17.75 score.
The CoDec Platinum Award: Awarded to games that receive a 18.00 to 19.75 score.
The CoDec Elite Award: Awarded to games that receive a 20.00 to 23.75 score.
The CoDec Kenton Teign Award: Awarded to games that receive a 24.00 to 25.00 score.
The CoDec Must Buy Award: Awarded to games that the reviewer knows are must buy games.
These are the factors that help us rate each game. Each receives a score of 0 to 25.
Replay Value factor: How much you'll continue to play after you finish the game.
Visual factor: How the graphics rate compared to other games on the platform and how much the visuals
immerses you in the game. Also depends on how well the developer uses the hardware they're developing on.
Sound factor: How much the sound immerses you in the game.
Difficulty factor: How difficult it is to complete the game on the normal difficulty level.
Story factor: How much does the story play a part in the game.
Multi-Player factor: How good is the multi-player in the game and how much does the multi-player option
plays a part in the overall game. (This factor is only for games that feature multi-player options)
HardCore Gaming factor: This factor depends on how much a HardCore Gamer will enjoy the game.
Casual Gaming factor: This factor depends on how much a Casual Gamer will enjoy the game.
